The company established in Erciyes Technopark in Kayseri produces domestic batteries
Founded in 2017 in Erciyes Technopark, the company produces domestic batteries for the defense industry in an area of 2 thousand square meters and sells domestically and internationally.
The company was established with the TÜBİTAK 1512 Entrepreneurship Support Program, TÜBİTAK 1507 SME R&D Startup Support Program in 2019, ERA NET SES European Support in 2020, KOSGEB R&D, P&D and Innovation Support Program in 2021, KOSGEB in 2022. It received support from the R&D, P&D and Innovation Support Program.
The company benefited from the TÜBİTAK 1507 SME R&D Startup Support Program again in 2023, and its application for Eurogia European Support was also approved in the same year.
Electronics engineer Yusuf Kaya, co-founder of Batron Enerji AŞ, told the AA correspondent that they have 45 individual and corporate investors and that they develop products with their partners at home and abroad.
Stating that they are the supplier of important defense industry companies, Kaya said:
"We work in both the civil and defense industry sectors. We make batteries that will work especially in harsh conditions. There are difficult conditions in both the defense industry and the boat sector. Here we manufacture batteries for jammers, electric and armored tracked vehicles, bomb disposal robots, minesweeping robots and drones. We produce solar and wind energy storage systems, that is, energy storage systems for renewable energy sources. In fact, what is important here is that we design all the electronic systems within ourselves. Here, we do not purchase any sub-materials or the battery itself. We are manufacturers and designers. We develop and develop all of these in-house. "We design. We also develop the software ourselves. We carry out 100 percent domestic production here, developing batteries and energy storage systems. All of these are used in the defense industry and civil sector. We sell them domestically and abroad."
Their products are used in the USA, Italy, Netherlands and Romania
Stating that the grant support they received reached a figure of 2.8 million lira and that the application for Eurogia European Support of 10 million lira was approved, Kaya stated that they strengthened the R&D side of the company with the investments made and that their products are used in the USA, Italy, the Netherlands and Romania.
Kaya stated that they are working to increase their share in the defense industry and stated that all of the products they developed meet the needs in the military field.
Pointing out that they aim to be more effective in the foreign market, Kaya said, "We have reached a certain stage and achieved a turnover. We are also growing day by day in terms of personnel. Our aim is not to leave this at home, especially by opening offices in America and Europe, and to establish both physical and "Our aim is to export more and grow abroad after reaching a certain point in our country. Stating that they started operating in an 18 square meter area in Erciyes Teknopark in 2017, Kaya said, "We rented a few offices and enlarged them. We currently have an office in Erciyes Teknopark. We operate in two facilities, an R&D team works in Technopark, in our 2 thousand square meter factory. "We are producing. Our team of 15 people works here." he said.
