Haftar just like Assad turned to be a problem. Men like them can never gain credibility on the international arena. They will most probably be judged for war crimes sooner or later. In both cases we have elements who are slowly taking their places and propaganda machines which are turning the minds of their supporters towards the new alternatives. In Syria it is Suhail Al Hassan and in Libya it is Aguila Saleh. The transition in Libya will be smoother because there is no fight for power between Russia and the other supporters of LNA while in Syria there are differences on some issues between Russia and Iran.
In Libya it is countries who want to limit Muslim Brotherhood and Turkish influence as much as they can even if that means to be in one bed with the bear but God forbid their plan success. They will realize how big mistake that is and NATO's position in the Mediterranean Sea will be dangerously compromised. They don't seem to realize that every move Russia does is planned and part of bigger agenda. The situation in Ukraine, the situation in Belarus, Syria, the failed coup attempt in Montenegro and the rising voice of Russia on the Balkans, issues like Venezuela, Russia's attempts to hijack Turkey out of NATO, Russia's proactive approach at central African countries and it's bidding for Egypt, it's malicious influence in Algeria. These are only small part of their malicious activities. Russia from besieged by NATO is trying to turn the game in it's favor by besieging NATO. Their stance is pointing at that.
I have to say the same thing as the Turkish officials in their statements. Turkey is major contributor to the European security and is fulfilling its obligations to NATO in the best way possible. Who if not Turkey have the needed power projection in all the areas where Russian malicious influence is detected? Turkey have the key to to the Middle East, Mediterranean, The Balkans, every country which have Turkic or Muslim population and everything that is happening at the Southern flank of NATO is happening under Turkish supervision and control. The Western countries should drop their arrogant stance toward Turkey and must instead of looking at Turkey as the good old "puppet" from the Cold War who was ready to take the shot for us in front of the Soviet aggression they must start to look at Turkey as a real partner which it is. As soon as they realize that the better for both sides. In the root of the problem is the arrogance of some of the Western countries and on a place where arrogance is present there is rarely room for fair cooperation. Turkey is a partner who works on the principle of Win-Win. The choice is theirs.

Launching TRT world in english is a good move, and it's accessible over internet, but more needs to be done. That is what Zaman newspaper worked towards in the past.
I think if we had taken some of these steps back in the 90's we'd have been able to tell people our POV too or offered a different angle to what western news are presenting. Look at how PKK had news branches in europe to spread their side of the story, and they continue.
I hope GNA can create some transparency and such, the difficulty on running 65% of the nation according to democratic values is going to show itself through ppl being dissatisfied and what not, while the government has limited access to oil revenues and what not.
I seriously hope that all oilfields south of Tripoli gets back under GNA control. Perhaps even Turkish /Italian soldiers control since preventing oil revenues is what LNA is working towards.

Russia steps up support for private military contractor in Libya: U.N. report
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Russia has stepped up its logistic support for private military contractor Wagner Group in Libya with some 338 military cargo flights from Syria in the nine months to July 31 to aid Wagner fighters backing eastern-based Libyan commander Khalifa Haftar, according to a U.N. report seen by Reuters on Wednesday.
The report by independent sanctions monitors - submitted to the U.N. Security Council Libya sanctions committee, but not yet public - also found that Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Russia, and Qatar breached an arms embargo on Libya.
The U.N. missions of Jordan, Russia, Qatar, Turkey and the UAE did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the accusations in the report. Russian President Vladimir Putin said in January that if there are Russians in Libya, they are not representing or paid by his government. [nR4N29101F]
The U.N. report assessed “that direct Russian Federation military logistic support to ChVK Wagner, and possibly the other Russian Federation based private military companies ... significantly increased from January 2020 to June 2020.”
It listed some 338 “suspicious flights from Syria by Russian Federation military aircraft” to Libya between Nov. 1, 2019 and July 31, 2020. In a confidential May report, the sanctions monitors said that Russia-based Wagner Group had up to 1,200 people deployed in Libya. [nL1N2CO16W]
Libya descended into chaos after the NATO-backed overthrow of leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. Since 2014, it has been split, with an internationally recognized government controlling the capital Tripoli and the northwest, while Haftar rules the east.
Haftar is supported by the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Russia, while the government is backed by Turkey.
“The arms embargo remains totally ineffective,” the U.N. report said.
“Since the more direct engagement by Turkey in December 2019 and the United Arab Emirates in January 2020, arms transfers to Libya by those two member states have been extensive, blatant and with complete disregard to the sanctions measures,” it said.
The report also found that Egypt, Jordan, Russia, Syria, Qatar, Turkey and the UAE breached U.N. sanctions by not inspecting “cargo of suspicious commercial vessels or aircraft destined for Libya for which there were reasonable grounds.”
The U.N. missions of Egypt and Syria did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

We know that arms build up means there aren't going to be any peace anytime soon. the amount of weapons delivered are going to be kept in the hands of tribes and such to cause strife and problems.
I seriously hope that TB2 can be used in swarm mode, or such and that we'll have the helicopter UAV with machine gun ready to use as well. They'll be necessary to deal with the problems that will arise.

official statement said that; backdrop of his handling of the demonstrations that took place in the capital Tripoli and some other cities during the past week, and “his failure to protect protesters from a violent crackdown.”
He supported the protests and they wanted to punish him for it.. Then he flew to Turkey and everything went back to normal.

He was allegedly trying to topple Sarraj and take his place. That is why he came to Turkey to gather support. But Sarraj allegedly knew this, which is why he suspended him when he was in Turkey. This is just something I heard though.
