Published footage of the calculations of the operational-tactical missile complex "Iskander-K" and the launch of the cruise missile R-500 in Ukraine. Iskander is a family of operational and tactical missile systems that has been in service with the Russian army for 15 years. Iskander is not a single missile system, but several modifications of various missiles. The basis of the Iskander-K complex is the 9K728 cruise missile, also known as the R-500, the launch of which is shown in the video. The missile has incredible accuracy, and is capable of hitting targets with an accuracy of up to two meters. Officially, the range of the R-500 missile is about 500 kilometers, but many sources believe that the actual range of the missile is 2000-2500. The Iskander was developed by the Kolomna KBM, the Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau, which continues to develop this complex.

"Tor-M2" is a representative of a new generation of short-range air defense systems. Thanks to the improved arsenal, the complex is able to cover a front-line strip with a length of 20 km from the enemy's means of attack. The SAM works on the third line of defense. The first frontier is the area of responsibility of the S—300 and S-400 systems, the range of which exceeds 100 km. Buk complexes capable of hitting targets at a range of 50-70 km are operating at the middle boundary. The targets that break through this boundary are in the range of our short-range Tor-M2 complexes. The Tor-M2 air defense system is capable of capturing and destroying a target, even if it came within a distance of 1 km. The complex is equipped with 16 9M338 missiles and underwent a successful baptism of fire in Syria, destroying more than 45 drones. In 2020, it was reported that a small-sized, cheap missile for the Tor-M2 air defense system, designed to combat drones, was being created.

Why doesn't Britain have anything like this.
British defence doctrine is geared towards Air dominace with Fighters and using Fighter assets to assist Army with its missions. In fact the US and Western NATO doctrine is quite similar to Britian, hence why beyond artillery HIMARs, stuff like this is not really seen as high priority by Western military planners as Western doctrine presumes Air dominance in the battlefield. Russia by contrast, assumes that RuAF can not always be counted upon to preform its job, hence why the Russians developed lots of SRBM and Air defence assets, in order defend its self and give it offensive capabilities against NATO even in an event where it loses Air dominance against NATO Air assets

Man even our Bora missiles surpassed russian Iskendar.
I think the Ukrainian debacle ruined Russia's credibility. No more "it's just the Export model bro" stuff anymore. Just recently, TB-2 destroyed a Tor-M2 and Buk-M3. It's over for Russia. Turkey will now fill the void. Germans are even debating about buying Turkish systems

Leftist media in europe are still trying to destroy our image tho calling us "Mongol Invaders, Genociders" Most of their claims doesn't even have credibility but If ou own the media you can give them every narrative you want.

Here in the UK people don't as much anti Turkish propaganda as compared to certain parts of mainland Europe. Now everyone is focused on Russia and its 24/7 anti Russian news. I think people are becoming more pro Turkish on Social Media

It's an incredible weapon for destroying *checks notes* hospitals and schools.
Remember the time when Armenia said iskander wasn't working and russia published a video of İskander hitting a hospital just to prove it works.

Iskander missile is a tactical short range missile. It is basically a quasi ballistic (behaves like/semi ballistic) missile. It’s apogee is around 50-60km. Many versions have been built. At high altitude it travels at hypersonic speeds. It’s length. diameter and hence weight varies according to the version. It can carry an explosive weight of 450 to 800kg depending on range and version being used. It’s weight too varies from 3800kg to 4600kg.
But essentially being a tactical theatre missile, and it’s weight and size, there is no way it can go more than 500-600km, unless it is modified and launched from aircraft at high altitude, like the Kinzhal.
Chinese have copied from this missile and produced their B611 range of tactical missiles. We have taken the same tech from Chinese and developed Yildirim missile first. Then from that our Bora.
Potentially it can be a very potent missile that can inflict devastation to targets it hits with good precision at very high speeds close to hypersonic.
But as they say in English; “proof of the pudding is in the eating”.
In Ukraine we haven’t seen the kind of precision Russian authorities have been boasting about this missile. At least nothing like our Bora test firing and Israeli Lora hitting bridges in Azerbaijan. (Lora being the Israeli version of Iskender)

The corvette "Gremyashchy" of the Pacific Fleet launched a rocket of the newest Russian anti-submarine complex "Answer". The 91RE2 anti-submarine missile is launched from universal ship launchers. In the area where the target is located, the rocket drops a torpedo by parachute into the water. Next, the torpedo independently searches for a submarine using its sonar equipment. Missile guidance can be carried out not only by ships, but also by anti-submarine helicopters and airplanes. The firing range of the missile is about 50 km, the flight speed is Mach 2.5. The MPT anti-submarine torpedo is installed on the 91RE2 rocket as a warhead, which can reach speeds of up to 45 knots with a range of 8 km and a depth of up to 450 m.

The S-300 family of air defense systems is quite widely represented and you can get confused in it. In short, these are several types, the S-300P is directly intended for the air defense forces, the S-300V is for the ground forces and the S-300F is for the fleet, there is also a tracked version of the S-300V4 for the ground forces, designed more to deal with aircraft EW. S-300PM2 is the modernization of the S-300 complex and bringing its characteristics to the level of the S-400 air defense system, according to some it even surpasses the S-400. As a result of modernization, the firing range of the Favorit has increased to 200 km, and now the complex is also able to more effectively hit ballistic targets. According to the military, "Favorites" have a high level of automation and speed of work, no more than 30 seconds pass from the detection of an object to its destruction. The S-300PM2 is capable of working on all targets, except for small-sized UAVs; to combat them, the complex is covered by the Pantsir air defense system. The S-300 air defense system consists of a command post with a radar station, launchers and transport-loading vehicles. "Favorite" can work together with the S-400 and the latest S-500 "Prometheus" forming a single system. The deployment time of the complex is 5 minutes.
