The advancement of the Turkish Armed Forces in the Metina region within the Claw-Lock operation continues without problems.

In the recent weeks, Turkish Armed Forces units carried out infiltration operations in the Metina region and began to destroy the fortifications of PKK terrorists.

Troops affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces began to deploy to the Large Metina Mountain blocks located in the south of the area of operations where infiltrations were carried out initially.

There are 5 large PKK tunnels in the Metina Mountain blocks, which are 17 km long with an altitude of 1900m.

Troops affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces have not yet started a direct intervention against these large tunnels.

The troops are advancing in the field, closing the area to the PKK, and continue to search for PKK fortifications in the flat and rural area between the Gapnerk and Metina Mountain blocks.

While PKK terrorists in the area attempted to carry out infiltrations with the start of the rains, no casualties have been experienced as a result of the attacks by the members of the organization so far.

It is observed that the terrorists did not expect the current course of action of the Turkish Armed Forces in the and could not respond appropriately.

I can see infantry commandos slowly clearing out every mountain range and tunnel near the border and southward, KDP peshmerga and Iraqi army border guards keeping the lowlands and stop PKK taking it back next year.

But please someone explain to me how Hashd plays out into this and how can it even be trusted to keep at what it’s supposed to do with Turkey and Iran’s iffy relationship. Unless TR accepts Iranian guardianship over Iraq, none of the future machinations we have works with how this looks. This is a losing hand.

Well maybe it's just a play for the gallery. If Hakan Fidan can spew BS openly he'll just lose credibility.

IMO he was much more impressive as head of MIT, and I think also feared.

They are iranian backed shia militas.

They cant be trusted whatsoever.

God forbid them capturing our soldiers. They are just as sadistic as isis terrorists.

The most important thing that reveals the identity of a city is its historical monuments.

Those who want to destroy the identity of the Turkmen homeland of Erbil aim to do so by destroying our historical monuments.

Our Kayseri bazaar, which was burned down in Erbil, the city of Gökbörü, is an example of this.

Get well soon...

On the evening of May 5, 2024, we were all deeply saddened by the fire disaster that took place in the Grand Erbil Kayseri Bazaar, which is an important part of our historical and cultural heritage. This historical bazaar has been a source of livelihood for our people for many years and has become one of the symbols of Turkmen culture. As a result of the fire, great damage occurred in the bazaar and our tradesmen suffered serious financial losses.

It is a great source of consolation that there was no loss of life after this tragic event. However, in addition to the material damages in the bazaar, our shopkeepers also need to be supported spiritually and economically. In this process, we must act in unity and solidarity as a society to support our shopkeepers and help the bazaar come back to life. We convey our best wishes and wish patience and convenience to our tradesmen from Allah.

We want the KRG government to contribute to the reconstruction of the bazaar by cooperating with relevant humanitarian aid and support organizations.

Two distinct approaches, there is a game being played.

We wish a speedy recovery to our bazaar shopkeepers and the people of Erbil, who were damaged due to the unfortunate fire that broke out in Erbil's historical KAYSARİ bazaar. God forbid.

A significant blaze at Erbil’s Qaysari Bazaar on Sunday evening resulted in the destruction of over 370 shops and injuries to more than 100 individuals, with a Turkish nationalist group claiming the attack as a campaign to reclaim what they assert as historically Turkish land.

The group’s provocative statement on Monday articulated their demands: “On the evening of 5 May, our brave warriors carried out sabotage operations at 22 different points in Erbil’s Qaysari Bazaar, reducing 450 shops to ashes. Either the glorious Turkish flag will forever wave over Erbil Castle, or it will not end until we say it ends.”

Iran is building upon the Kirkuk animosity to split the Turkmen and drive a wedge between Barzani and Erdogan. Given how polarised the situation is, it's very easy.

Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler:

Unfortunately, our Iranian friends do not view the PKK terrorists in the same way as we do.

"We are keeping an eye on them, we say, "Look, brother, the men are over there, in that house, this is the address where the man is staying," and after a short while, the answer comes, "We searched that address, there is no such person, there are no such people there." Of course, this is not acceptable, our friendship is eternal. "I believe that our Iranian friends are also aware that they will be in trouble with the PKK, but I hope they will find a solution."

And our main source regarding the operations says:

"I wonder if there is a connection between our UAVs being shot down in Iraq and our officials starting to directly target Iran regarding the PKK"

You greatly underestimate the threat posed by Iran. Today it is not Iran, it is someone else. He fires the missiles and the UAVs. Will we be able to defend ourselves as much as one tenth of what Israel did? We cannot solve problems and threats by minimizing or ignoring them. We need to be realistic.

Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler:

"Bafil Talabani is also trying to bring things to an end for himself. He must realize that what he is trying to do is turning the situation against himself because our esteemed President, our esteemed Minister of Foreign Affairs, including me, have made the necessary warnings many times.

Turkiye is a patient country. We know what we are doing and what we will do.

Everyone sees the current state of the PKK. If Bafıl Talabini wants to experience the same developments, he may continue these activities.

We told him many times what he should do. It is necessary to cut off relations with terrorists, stop supporting them, and clear its areas of terrorists. When he does these things, he will achieve the best result for himself."

Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT) neutralized one of the leaders of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Sedat Aksu, in the Iraqi region of Gara.

Iranian friends … He call them friends while in reality they constantly destabilize us. Iranians ain’t no our friends.
To add, Güler has a more soft spoken rhetoric. He uses that wording a lot. Said “our American friends” this week as well.

There is no friends only interests.

Americans and Iranians are both a threat to Turkiye's interests and security.

One is a snake and the other is lizard that constantly shed its skin from friend to foe.

Only you can decide which is a bigger threat. Some say the Americans and others will put forth Iran is much more of a threat because Turkiye is right door next to them.
